Kohn, Shands, Elbert, Gianoulakis & Giljum, LLP combines small firm responsiveness with large firm capability and clientele in our areas of
practice.
We focus on business litigation, labor and employment
counseling and litigation, education law, and corporate,
real estate, tax and estate planning.
Our goal is to provide the highest level of legal
services and advice to allow our clients to satisfy
their needs and achieve their desired outcomes at a
reasonable cost. Generally, one partner is responsible
for achieving that goal with respect to each client
matter. By successfully and efficiently handling complex
and difficult matters with skill, imagination and
professionalism, we have earned an excellent reputation
with our clients, including Fortune 500 companies, major
public and private corporations in the St. Louis area,
public utilities, closely held businesses, public school
districts and other governmental entities, private
schools and universities, law and accounting firms,
medical practices and individuals.
We take pride in the caliber of our lawyers, who include
members of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the
American College of Tax Counsel, the American College of
Trust and Estate Counsel, and the American Law
Institute. The Firm has been recognized in Chambers USA,
America's Leading Business Lawyers. We are particularly
proud of the fact that many outstanding law firms and
lawyers, as well as many of the area's major
corporations and prominent residents, have chosen us to
represent them in our fields of concentration.
The Firm, founded in the early 1970s by lawyers from
major law firms, is centrally located in Downtown St.
Louis. While we primarily practice in Missouri and
Southern Illinois, we have represented clients in courts
and before administrative agencies in many other states.
Our attorneys also are committed to the community. In
addition to pro bono legal services, lecturing on a wide
variety of law topics and various Bar Association
activities, many of our lawyers are involved in
charitable, civic, arts, and educational organizations
and activities.
